Pork and Beans, a music video for Weezer, which won the Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and was nominated for the MTV Music Video Award for Best Music Video Editing, directed by Mathew Cullen and co-edited by Colin Woods • Wardance, a documentary feature, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature and won the Sundance Award for Best Documentary Directing, directed by Sean Fine & Andrea Nix Fine • The Ballad of Bering Strait, a documentary feature, which won the Audience Favorite Award at the DC International Film Festival, directed by Nina Gilden Seavey • Girl, a music video for Beck, directed by Mathew Cullen • Positively Naked, a documentary short, winner of numerous festival awards, directed by David Nelson and Arlene Donnely Nelson • and more.
Jeff
has written and directed nearly 30 original short films of various flavors, many of which have been broadcast on AMC TV.
One fateful night in Los Angeles at the turn of the century, Jeff and four friends created a film directing collective known as Group101Films, which grew over five years into a global movement consisting of 750 filmmakers operating in 12 US cities, Canada, Denmark, Pakistan and the Philippenes. Before YouTube, Facebook and Vimeo, Group101Films produced over 4000 short films through a world wide network of interconnected auteurs, and hosted sold out gala screenings in Hollywood.
Earlier in the 1990's Jeff co-founded the Rosebud Film and Video Awards celebrating local filmmakers in the Washington DC region, now operating for more than 20 years.
On a warm Saturday in May of 2003, Jeff served as the commencement speaker at the graduation
ceremony for the VA Tech Department of Communication Studies.
Jeff regularly migrates between Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC.
