Jeff Consiglio has served for years as an A-list editor of commercials,
film trailers, main title sequences, music videos and documentaries
for clients such as HBO, Sony, Universal Pictures, Touchstone, HP, IBM, Peter Weir, Michael Bay, John Frankenheimer,
Jerry Bruckheimer, Kevin Costner, David E. Kelley, John Sayles,
Beck, David Gray, Budweiser,
Chevrolet and more. Film and commercial projects edited by Jeff Consiglio have won awards and received nominations from the Oscars, Grammys, Emmys, MTV and dozens of film festivals including Sundance, Chicago, Berlin, Full Frame, Hot Docs and more.
Jeff edited the music video "Pork and Beans"
for Weezer, earning the 2009 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and a Nomination for Best Music Video Editing at the
2008 MTV Music Video Awards, and the documentary feature film WARDANCE,
directed by Sean
Fine and Andrea Nix Fine, which earned the 2008 Acadamy Award Nomination for Best Documentary Feature. Wardance was awarded Best Documentary Directing at the 2007 Sundance Film Festival and won
numerous awards at other festivals around the world.
Jeff also edited
the documentary feature THE
BALLAD OF BERING STRAIT, directed by Nina Gilden Seavey, which
received the Audience Favorite Award at The Washington DC International
Film Festival, the festival favorite documentary short
POSITIVELY NAKED for HBO/Cinemax, the music videos GIRL for
BECK and THE ONE
I LOVE for DAVID
GRAY, and the short film DANDELION
DHARMA, which won the coveted Audience Favorite Award at the
2009 Palm Springs International ShortFest.
Under the VFR Films banner, Jeff
has written and directed nearly 30 original short films spanning
the genres of horror, thriller, comedy, cinema verite, drama and
music video. Many of his films have been broadcast on AMC TV.
Jeff founded the landmark film directing collective, GROUP101FILMS,
which grew from five filmmakers to over 750 operating in 12 US cities,
Canada, Denmark, Pakistan and the Philippenes, and produced over
4000 short films in five years.
In 2010 Jeff created the mobile App development company MightyExcellentPosse and released the popular iPhone Apps FaceTag and KittyCall .
Jeff divides his time between filmmaking,
fine art & commercial photography, mobile App development and saving the world in Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC.
In May of 2003 Jeff served as the commencement speaker at the graduation
ceremony for the VA Tech Department of Communication Studies.
